“Tanabana” the name itself defines threads from which a fabric is woven and made of. ‘Tanabana’ is an attempt to pay our respect to all the artisans, of rich Indian heritage. Our purpose is to fuse Indian textiles, with elements of unique and timeless crafts to create garments, home decor and accessories, that please Indian aesthetics. The fashion journey 
seventeen years old girl was to study textile designing, and to explore the wide range of India’s rich heritage of handloom culture. ‘Tanabana’ team immensely appreciate not only handlooms but the rich handicrafts, craftsmanship, and all the artisans of India.

As a little girl, back then my source of inspiration was my mother. As, she has exquisite taste in handlooms. My mother used to order different fabrics from all across the India, and used to teach me about the fabrics and embroideries. When I became a mother to two daughters, I passed on my knowledge of handlooms and handicrafts to my daughters, which influenced them to pursue fashion designing as their career. Now, both my daughters are alumni of NIFT and running their work successfully.
While I pursued my own dream of having a physical store, of all varieties of handlooms from all over India. Like, Patola, Banarsi silk, tussar silk, Kota silk, gota work, Ikkat, Ghatchola, Bandhani, Leheriya, Chanderi, pure chiffon, georgette, chikankari. While also keeping a collection of different hand block prints like, Sanganeri, Daboo, Bagh, Ajrak, Kalamkari, Bastar art, Madhubani and many more. My store is been running since 2014.
I,as the director and founder of ‘Tanabana’, is pleased to introduce my collection to all of you with great passion and love for craftsmanship. We have curated a wide range of hand picked natural fabrics, with handicrafts. So that, every women should feel comfortable and beautiful and make their home as a cozy and comfortable environment, with our newly yet traditional collection of home decor and accessories.
